The House

Horizons Beach House is a modern open plan two level villa which has been recently completed by the architect/owner as his own vacation retreat.

Situated on a three quarters of an acre hilltop, the house is completely private yet only a brief walk away from Musket Cove Resort and Marina and 5-10 minutes to a number of beautiful beaches.

Sleeping up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms, the house is ideal for a large family or a group of friends wanting a unique holiday experience. The two upstairs master bedrooms feature king size beds and en-suites. The large third bedroom is downstairs and comprises a king size bed and double bunk bed. A large bathroom which opens on to a sheltered undercover area adjoins this third bedroom.

Tastefully decorated and furnished, the open plan living room and kitchen area opens on to either a large timber deck or paved pergola area which allows for both indoor and outdoor dining.

The extensive sliding glass doors which are insect screened, open up the living area to enhance the view and allow for cooling breezes. Panoramic views are obtained from every room of the house. Ceiling fans are provided in all living areas and bedrooms and one of the master bedrooms is air conditioned.

Facilities include three indoor and outdoor dining tables and chairs for settings of 8 people, comfortable lounges, modern kitchen and appliances, TV, DVD/CD player, barbeque and hammocks. The house is fully serviced twice weekly.

The Location

Horizons Beach House is located towards the northern end of Malololailai Island within the Mamanuca Island group, approximately 15km offshore from Nadi Airport. The island comprises approximately 500 tropical acres and 11 magnificent beaches which front onto a lagoon surrounded by reefs.

The island is also home to the two well known resorts of Musket Cove and Plantation Island and the internationally renown Musket Cove Marina. The resort facilities at Musket Cove which include swimming pools, restaurants, fully stocked supermarket, boutique, golf course, health and beauty spa, water sports, marina, boat and fishing charter, are all available within a 5-10 minute walk and are available to guests of Horizons Beach House. The Mananuca Island group is one of Fiji’s most popular tourist destinations. Malololailai Island, being one of the closest islands to the mainland of Viti Levu, has the largest tourist activity infrastructure of any of the Mananuca Islands.

These islands also have the highest number of sunlight hours in the world and the lowest rainfall of the pacific. This combines for a wonderful tropical experience.

The resorts of Musket Cove and Plantation Island offer a diverse range of recreational activities.

Getting There

Travelling to Malololailai Island from the mainland is straightforward and easy by either air or water transport.

The island has a small airstrip which is serviced by regular commercial flights from Nadi Airport. Visit www.airpacific.com for details. Flight time is just 10 minutes.

The Malolo Cat Ferry operates a return service between Port Denarau on the mainland and Malololailai Island four times a day. The one way passage time is approximately 45 minutes. The cost of the ferry includes coach transfers to/from Nadi Airport.

All guests of Horizons Beach House will be greeted on arrival at the island and transferred to the house.

Tariff

The tariff for Horizons Beach House is 1050 Fijian dollars per night, including VAT. The rental rate includes all utilities, intra island transport to house, meet and greet upon arrival and twice weekly cleaning/maid service.

All bookings require a 10% deposit with the balance payable 30 days prior to arrival. A cancellation policy applies. The house is for a maximum of 8 people with a minimum booking of 3 nights.
